In this session, we will focus on the role of lawyers in assisting and counselling maritime clients, such as ship owners, offshore operations and similar, while their businesses shift towards new mechanisms of doing business, aligned with increasingly stricter Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) standards.
The session will offer insight into some of the Green Shipping rules and initiatives setting the green standards of the future. The session will also include an industry speaker within the maritime/energy industry, who will be discussing and reflecting on some of the challenges the shift towards greener mechanism provides. The session will focus on the role of lawyers in assisting and counselling maritime clients when navigating through these new ways of doing business and finally, the session will provide a South East Asian perspective on Green Shipping and Sustainable Business through a local lawyer.
